Korra bended the air back to normal and floated off of the scooter. “My previous life invented it,” she said. “It’s only one element, though- I can do stuff with the other four too. I can’t do stuff with light like what you did, though.”
“My light was a spell. To keep it simple, it help us be able to do as we wish for the time being. We are invisible to the world.” she explained.
The Avatar nodded. “I see. Yeah, we don’t have spells. We just. . Do it. Like, it’s natural,” she said.
“That is how my magic is. But it has taken time to master and control.”
“Right, just like bending,” Korra said, smiling again at Eilonwy. “So there are similarities, even if the way the energy is utilised is different.
“It would be Inia,” Korra said with a sigh, shaking her head.”
“Like you’d complain.” Inia grinned.
“Neither would you.”
“Of course I wouldn’t.” She laughed. She snapped her fingers. “Oh oh I had a kinky idea…!”

Huan slumped down onto the futon in her studio and sighed. Long day at work. Really long day at work. Her firebending, as much as she hated it, kept her in employment, although it was really just manual labour. She couldn’t bend lightning, so she didn’t do that, but lightning wasn’t all firebenders could be useful for. Coal needed to be burned, after all, and it needed a constant source of fire. By the end of the day her face was usually covered in ashes and sweat, although she washed it off before leaving every day.
She unpinned her hair from the bun she kept it in and let it flow down a little past her shoulders. She had to take a few minutes to rest before grabbing “dinner”- It was twelve thirty in the morning, but she was starving and the last time she had eaten was six hours before.
